Christopher Cornell Monroe was born on March 19, 1992, in Humble, Texas, to parents Cornell and Alice (Henderson) Monroe. He passed away on March 13, 2025, in Spring, Texas. He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and joined New Covenant Church and was baptized at an early age. Some of the favorite things he enjoyed was being with family, playing and writing music and hanging out online with his friends.
He was passionate about music. He played several instruments from the age of 5 (Piano, Violin, Sax) and he recently started learning to play Guitar. He played classical music throughout high school and would often play at local churches in Spring and Nursing homes to uplift and encourage others.
He loved playing video games and was very good. He once ranked number 1 player in the world in Destiny when it first became popular. He also has a passion for technology. He built his own computers and soldered his own keyboard. His computers were his tools that had to perform at optimum levels. He believed in efficiency. He never wanted to repeat a job. He wrote a macro to perform that task.
Christopher graduated from WGU with a master's degree in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance and held several certifications (CCNA, CISSP, CCSK, MIS, BA, CISA and Pen-Test). He was employed by some of the highest rated Cybersecurity companies as a PCI Audit & Compliance Specialist – IT Risk Management.
He especially loved his Mom, Dad and Brother. He was very meticulous in his ability to ensure success by scheduling tasks in his journal and being diligent in carrying them out, nothing got in the way of his plans to succeed.
Christopher was preceded in death by Grandparents, Christopher (Sloma Arlene) Monroe of Gary, IN, Willie Mae Henderson of Columbus, MS, Uncle Joseph (Jeanette) Norman of Columbus, MS, (1) brother James Earl Monroe of Gary, IN and (2) sisters, Tursha Nichole Monroe of Albuquerque, NM and Allison Monroe of Gary, IN.
He leaves to cherish his memory, Cornell (Alice) Monroe of Spring, TX, (2) brothers Anthony Dean Monroe of Orange County, Florida and DeVonte Brown of Spring, Texas, (5) uncles, Dean Lee (Hestina) Monroe of Gary, IN, Maurice Monroe of East Chicago, IN, Dale (Diane) Monroe of South Bend, IN), Leroy Connor of Grand Rapids, MI and Leon Henderson of Enid, OK, (2) Aunties, Shirley Henderson Monroe of Richton Park, IL and Dian Henderson of Columbus, MS, (1) niece, Jasmynn Monroe Brown of Spring, TX, (1) nephew, Jace Alexander Brown of Spring, TX and a host of cousins and friends.

Cornell and Alice, I was so saddened to read of Christopher's passing. I remember him from the old PSG days as such a sweet and smart little boy, and it appears that y'all raised an exceptional and fine young man. I am thrilled to know that you have the surety that he is with our Lord in Heaven now. That is such a blessing to help as you miss him until seeing him again. Thank you for being the parents and examples that you are.
