Christopher West Moore, age 57, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025. He passed peacefully with his mother, Linda, and oldest daughter, Kristen, by his side. Chris was born in Marietta, Georgia, on April 24, 1968. Chris will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father, and friend. Chris was quite the hard worker and always worked a labor-intensive jobs. He worked as a steel framer before his passing, often traveling the country for specific assignments. Chris was known as an avid car racing fan, motorcycle enthusiast, and nature lover who could often be found relaxing at the Wolf River in Tennessee, where he lived.
As a child, Chris was known as being the mischievous one of the bunch. He was always a prankster, with his siblings being the butt of the joke. Chris was always a caring child who valued the happiness of others. Chris spent most of his adolescence working. Between work, he still found time to spend with family and friends. Chris was never the type of person who could stay still long, so he packed up and left home. He spent time working in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, building log cabins. When he was done with that, he moved to Gainesboro, Tennessee.
While in Gainesboro, he welcomed two daughters. Chris decided to settle down in Cedar Grove, Tennessee, on the family property. Although far from his family, Chris would always make an effort to spend the holidays and family milestones surrounded by those he loved.
He always had many hobbies, but the one he was most known for was car racing. He specifically loved NASCAR. He could often be found at a car race on the weekends. When the racing was over, he would spend time outdoors. Throughout his whole life he had an undeniable love for nature; he spent his time hiking in the woods or relaxing by the river.
Chris was filled with high ambitions and a love for moving around. He could never stay in one place for too long, but he always remembered where his true home was. He was head strong and stubborn. He never made things easy for anyone, but that’s what people loved. He challenged others' opinions and stood strong in his own. He was a fighter with a big heart. Chris was a man of great strength, resilience, and kindness. He will be greatly missed and has left a lasting impression on many. His absence is heartbreaking, but there is comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord.
Chris is survived by his daughters Kristen Moore and Destiny Sizemoore; his mother, Linda Olschewske; his brother, John Moore (Sherri) and his sisters Sharon Barone and Natalie Moore; his nephews James Barone and Thomas Moore; his nieces Lauren Barone, Sara Moore, and Vivian Williams; one beloved great nephew Genesis Barone.
Chris was preceded in death by his biological father, John Moore; his stepfather, Thomas Olschewske; his grandmother, Vivian West; his grandfather, Doyle West
