Chris Morris Obituary
Born on August 20, 1974, in Sedalia, Missouri, Chris was born deaf. He attended the Deaf Education program in Sedalia throughout his school years. He also participated in the Boys Town camp in Omaha, Nebraska, and enjoyed attending deaf camp during his childhood.
Chris graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1994. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. In 2019, he completed his Master's degree in Social Work at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C.
Chris was a funny, kind, and big-hearted individual who touched countless lives in the Deaf community. He was deeply loved by many who knew him.
A die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, he also cherished his membership in the State Fair Chapter in Sedalia.
He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Fly high, Chris... until we meet again when our time on Earth is complete.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Regina. Chris is survived by his father, Paul, and his wife, Toni.

It was an honor to know Chris when he attended UCM. Not only was he a dedicated, successful student he was open to new challenges, accepting of others with language differences, and shared his great sense of humor. I will fondly remember him always.
