Christopher E. Morrison

Christopher Morrison, 54, of Chester, SC, passed away on November 23, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Chris was born on February 5, 1970, in Kings Mountain, NC, to Martha Moss Burton. Proceeded in death by his grandparents Mattie & Otis Moss (Paw Paw) of Sharon, SC. Otis Moss, whom Chris lovingly referred to as a father figure, had a profound influence on his life. Family was everything to Chris, and he was deeply cherished by those who knew him.
On June 10, 1993, Chris married his devoted wife, Michelle (Hugg) Morrison, in York, SC. Together, they shared 31 years of love, companionship, and cherished memories. He was a proud father to his two daughters, Christina Bellue (Ricky) and Cynthia Godwin (Brandon), and a stepfather to Jamie Varnadore & children. Chris also took great pride in being a grandfather to his five grandchildren-Chloe, Zoey, and Olivia Bellue, and Brandon Jr. and Georgia Godwin. His family was the light of his life, and he found immense joy in spending time with them.
Chris is also survived by his siblings, Albert Morrison, Louise Hoyle (Ricky Sr.), Cynthia Buchanan (Chris), and Joe Joe Burton. He was a loving brother and a loyal friend, and his loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
A lifelong blue-collar, hard-working family man, Chris was the epitome of dedication. By friends and family, he was known for his world-famous German Chocolate Cake. In his spare time, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether it was riding his Harley, casting a line while fishing, or spending time with his family and friends. His easygoing nature, sense of humor, and compassionate heart will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service to celebrate Chris's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Greene Funeral Home, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
Chris's legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to be part of his life. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
