Christopher J. Olson, 45, of Lisle, IL passed away on August 27, 2023. Chris was born on January 27, 1978 in Aurora, IL to Allen and Jenny (Bassett) Olson.
Chris was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. Chris worked with multiple Fire and EMS companies, most recently Elite Ambulance. He climbed the ladder over his career, growing at each place that he was at. He also worked for FEMA for many disaster situations, most notably FDNY in the Covid Task Force. Chris was a very social person, he loved to work, teach and especially cook. He made the cake for the Madrigals in Yorkville for a few years. He always had a passion for cooking.
Chris is survived by 2 brothers, Aaron Olson of North Aurora, IL and Bradley (Delilah Michelle) Olson of Henderson, NV; 3 nephews, Joseph (Sara), Andrew and Nathan; As well as many brothers and sisters from the EMS community.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jamie Olson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry Street, Sandwich, IL 60548. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. with burial to follow out to St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Bristol, IL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
