Meridian resident, Christopher Dean Pendleton, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the age of 38. Chris was born on December 5, 1986 in Orlando, Florida, but he spent most of his life in Idaho.
Chris had been a business owner and web developer for over a decade, however his passion for technology started far before that. He even earned his first tech certification at only 14 years old. He was a diligent learner, having received many awards during his school and professional career, such as Presidential Scholar award, Business Professionals of America awards and graduating with honors in both his high school and associate degrees. Prior to his passing, Chris was pursuing a bachelor's degree, with a double major in Communications and Organizational Management through the University of Idaho.
Chris was also an avid gamer. At the time of his passing he was developing two tabletop games, had worked on developing and modding video games and lead several online communities with friends, peers and collaborators both near and far.
Chris is survived by his spouse and partner of over 20 years, Rocio Miramontes, and their two children, Katrina and Carmen. He also leaves behind two grandmothers, Doris Jensen and Lena Velvick, and three siblings, Kassie, Tianna and Daultin. He was preceded in death by his parents, LaDonna Howell and Doug Pendleton, as well as his sister Devon.
All services are scheduled for Thursday, September 11th beginning with a viewing at 10 a.m. at Relyea Funeral Home, followed by a service at 11 a.m. Chris will be buried at Meridian Cemetery immediately after the service. A small reception will be held at 2701 E Pine Ave, Meridian, ID at 1:30 p.m.
