Christopher A. Pummel, 52, of Chillicothe passed from this life at 6:35 pm, Monday, October 23, 2023 from unexpected health issues at his residence.
He was born October 29, 1970 in Chillicothe to Jeffrey and Jane Pummel, both deceased.
Surviving are his children, daughter Brooke Pummel of Chillicothe and Holly Pummel of Bainbridge and their mother Sarah Pummel. Also surviving are his grandchildren Isabella and Thomas DeMint. His companion Kristina Applegate of Chillicothe. His siblings Kimberly (Randy) Proehl of South Carolina and Debbie (Scott) Brown of Virginia, they held a special bond and were always there for one another.
Brothers Rick Pummel, Nick Pummel, his twin brother Tony Pummel and sister Marcia Pummel, all of Chillicothe.
He was predeceased in death by his beloved nephew Justin Brown, his mother-in-law Jane Bost that he loved and adored and his father-in-law Dick Bost that he admired greatly.
Chris began his welding career at the age of 18, and later on was proudly employed by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 189.
He was a jack of all trades, there was nothing he couldn't fix. Always the first person to lend a helping hand to family, friends, or strangers. Driving his 1966 Chevy Impala "The Heavy Chevy" around town was his favorite pastime. The fun dad and loving papaw that always knew how to bring the party.
Friends and Family are welcome to join his celebration of life on what would be his 53rd birthday 12 - 4 pm Sunday, October 29th at the Scioto Township Hall.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday October 30, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the hour of service on Monday.
