Christopher James Ruiz

Christopher "Chris" James Ruiz, 61, was born in Austin, Texas on October 13, 1962 and entered heaven on Thursday, March 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his father Victor Ruiz III, and sister Kelly Ruiz.
Chris leaves behind to carry on many family members and wonderful friends who will not forget his friendship.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Ruiz; brothers, Victor Ruiz IV (Stephanie), and Kevin Ruiz (Julia); sister, Patricia "Dolly" Ruiz; his beloved fiancée, Connie Simien; daughters, Brittany and Jacquelyn Ruiz; and grandchildren Brianna, Faith, Jon, and Luisa.
Chris truly enjoyed people and sports as he was an avid Texas Longhorn and Rangers fan. Like many of us he was known not to miss any baseball or football games. He loved his family and spending time together at restaurants or cooking at the house having family over to taste his bar-b-que. Chris worked as a Strategic Account Manager for Texas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. for 22 years in Georgetown, Texas which allowed him to travel all across Texas, where he enjoyed visiting cities and making new friends. He was a beloved individual who touched the lives of many with his kindness, talents, and warm spirit. His legacy of love, empathy, and appreciation for life's simple joys will surely live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
