Christopher "Chris" Michael Russo Il, 37, was reunited with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Christopher was born on January 28, 1987, in Glendale, California. Christopher attended and graduated from Houston County High School and completed mechanic school. Christopher was a loving father, an exceptional musician, a talented artist, and a decorated veteran.
In December of 2008, Christopher enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed at the US Army installation at Vilseck in Germany. During his time in service, Chris served one tour in Afghanistan. After being injured in combat, he was transferred to Fort Campbell in Fort Campbell, Kentucky where he received numerous awards, including the sacred Purple Heart for his wounds in combat.
Christopher was a kind soul who was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Christopher is survived by his two amazing children, Arissa and Gage Russo. Mother Jennifer and husband Caleb Hemmen. Fathers, Christopher Russo Sr and Jay Seay. Four sisters, Torrey Baggett, Mia Russo, Rachel Russo, and Dani Seay. Six brothers, Andrew LaRusch, John Seay, Brenton Seay, Joshua Houston, Anthony Russo and Alex Russo. Grandparents, Peggie and Bruce McClain, Jock and June Barnes, Barbra and William Lloyd, and Lewis Russo. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Turnbull.
A memorial ceremony is being planned in his honor at a future date.
