ENOSBURG FALLS – Christopher J. Ryea, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
He was born in St. Albans on April 6, 1970 to Richard & Prudy (Saulters) Ryea.
From a young age, Chris was fascinated with things that went fast – from snowmobiles, to dirt bikes, to motorcycles. He was a devoted family man and considered all of his close friends part of his family. He would always do anything he could to help the members of his community, a passion he learned from his father. There weren’t many days in the week that Chris wasn’t doing something for someone else.
Over the years, he honed his skills and became known as a master craftsman. He could work on cars and bikes, he could work in masonry, he could work in carpentry, he could do just about anything. Recently, Chris earned his RV Technician Certification. Chris took great pride in a job well done, and you could always be sure he would give any task his full commitment to do the job right. Chris will be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering love for his family, and his exceptional skill as a craftsman.
Chris is survived by his children, Melinda Ryea and her significant other Seth Vincent of North Troy, Jenessa Ryea and her significant other Buddy Lambert, Branden Ryea, and Josh Ryea and their mother, Stacy Ryea all of Enosburg Falls; his grandchildren, Ava “Squirt”, Emma “Grouch”, and Everleigh “Chubbs”; his mother, Prudy Ryea of Richford; siblings, Tammy Ryea of Richford, Wendy Mercy and her husband John of Montgomery, and Ritchie Ryea of Richford; several nieces, nephews, and beloved motorcycle buddies. Chris was predeceased by his father, Richard Ryea.
