SSgt Frost was an amazing Airman who always wanted to help others. Extremely smart and was the top in his class. He always talked about his love for his wife and children. Frosty I think about you almost every day. Wishing you were with your family. I wish you were here with us all. You are not forgotten little brother. 116ACW, Robins AFB.

Chris was an excellent NCO-intelligent, funny, a good Airman, and a excellent friend. I still haven't gotten over this loss. I keep Chris memory alive and cherish our time together while serving at 377 ABW Commanders office/PA.

To the family of Staff Sgt. Christopher S. Frost:
The Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel Foundation will be honoring your loved one at the non-denominational Christian Memorial Day Remembrance worship service at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, 26 May 2013. We will remember the casualties of the Global War on Terrorism from Minnesota … and the bordering states of Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Outside of the historic Fort Snelling Veterans Memorial Chapel will be a “Memorial Garden” filled with some 300 white crosses bearing the names of the war dead … including your loved one.
The Memorial Garden will be encircled with larger white crosses representing all of the wars of our nation's history and give honor to all who have served in the United States Armed Forces and made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today. Wreaths will be placed at the foot of each 8-foot cross bearing the number of U.S. Service Members killed in each of America's conflicts.
I would like to extend to your family an invitation to honor us with your presence at worship as we pay tribute to the sacrifice made by your service member and family. Our pastor, Kenneth L. Beale, Jr., will preach a message entitled, “Freedom:Free, but Costly.” At the conclusion of the worship hour, all of the congregation will be invited to silently pay their respects at the garden and there place poppies at each of the crosses. A Memorial Rifle Squad of the Fort Snelling National Cemetery will fire vollies as the US flag is lowered to half-staff and Taps is played. Following your visit to the Memorial Garden, your family is invited to attend an informal reception (weather permitting) outside of the Chapel. The Memorial Garden will remain until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 27 May (Memorial Day).
As this Christian worship service has traditionally been well attended, we would be happy to reserve seating for you and yours. To do so, kindly call (651/286-7296) and leave a voice message indicating your veterans' name and the number of persons attending. For more information about the Foundation or driving directions to the historic chapel at Fort Snelling, visit our website at: www.fortsnellingmcf.org Special rates for nearby hotels will be available. For more information call (651/286-7296) or email the office ([email protected]) and leave your name and contact information.
Also, beginning at dusk (8:30 p.m.) on Saturday 25 May through dawn (6:30 a.m.) on Sunday, 26 May, a “Prayer Vigil for Peace” will be held in the sanctuary of the Chapel. You are invited to stop by, light a candle and place it at the foot of your loved one's cross in the Memorial Garden … and then enter the Chapel for prayer.
If you are not able to attend, we pray that you would find comfort in knowing that our prayers are with you and all of the fallen heroes.

Dear Chris, I met you in Baghdad, when you accompanied me to Camp Dublin where there was the Iraqi National Police Graduation Ceremony. You were so enthusiastic! You liked the work you were doing. The morning I had to depart from the Washington landing zone, there was the sand stom and I didn't fly. Back to my office in the NTM-I HQ, I received the news: you were dead. I couldn't believe you were gone...I miss you, Chris. Even if we spent short time together, you sent me some e-mails and you talked to me about your going back home...I hope you found peace in the place where you are now. You will be in my hearth forever, Chris.

To the family of Staff Sgt. Frost,
I had the privilege of serving with Chris in Baghdad. I worked in a different public affairs office in the IZ, and Chris and I corresponded frequently via email, passing requests from reporters to each other. I finally met him in person at a press conference in January. He was a hard working journalist and editor, a talented photographer, and a dedicated professional - and his smile lit up the room. Especially today, he will always be in my thoughts.

RUN FOR THE FALLEN will be honoring Staff Sgt Frost on Day 67, almost at the end of their run to honor the fallen heroes all the way from Fort irwin in the California high desert where it was triple digits when they set out on June 24th, to Arlington National Cemetery on August 24th. The team will leave Burgess, VA very early on August 20th and about ten miles from Colonial Beach, VA they will place his flag, talk about him and shout his name in unison, as they run the next mile just in his honor.
www.sjrnews.com has two stories written by a Gold Star mom in Utah about the day the team came to her home town. She captures the heart and soul of what this is all about.
Pass it on!
www.runforthefallen.org is the official site and has a wealth of information on this apolitical, grassroots endeavor that has resonated throughout the West. Today Amarillo, TX added its show of gratitude. All along the route small towns off the main highways are showing the best of America.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!
I would also like to tell you about a website, http://groups.msn.com/SSPSoldierPor
traits/homepage,
where some wonderful people will make wood portraits of your fallen Hero for free for the immediate family. I became aware of this site when I wanted to do something special for Le Ron’s mother.

To the family and friends of SSgt Christopher Frost, I had the honor to serve with Christopher. He was a true professional who loved what he was doing and was proud to serve his country. I remember when the Iraqi Air Force had its dedication ceremony of its newest aircraft, the King Air, and Christopher was busy ensuring he covered the event in great detail, as a true professional would do. On the day he gave his life, he was again covering a story of the rebirth of the Iraqi Air Force. Doing the job he was sent to do. It was an honor to serve along side SSgt Frost in Baghdad. He did not falter, he did not fail.

Whenever CNN profiles a fallen hero, I have promised myself that I will try to reach out to the family to offer our gratitude for the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Ashley, Mackenzie and Mitchell, as one of the original volunteers two years ago for SNOWBALL EXPRESS, I am extending an invitation to you to join hundreds of other wives and kids of fallen heroes next December 16-20, in Orange County, California, so we can all wrap our arms around you and help you heal. www.snowballexpress.org is accepting registrations now. Perhaps a family member can get the details and sign you up right away. It is easy. The word is out and space will fill fast. Read Capt. Roy White's message, follow his weekly blog, watch the videos, read the messages. We pray that just the hope of this special holiday, right before what will be a difficult Christmas season, will buoy you up during the long dark days ahead. God bless you all.

Chris - You will be missed dearly. I miss our conversations keeping each other occupied between my Air Force band visits and your calls to Alabama. Your jokes were one of the many things that got me through this deployment. Our nightly conversations have been missed.

To Christopher's wife, kids, and family. I've had the opportunity to train with Frost. He was in my class at keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS. Also, he was at survival training in Spokane Washington. As long as I've known him he was such a funny guy and fun to be around. I truly extend my sympathy and prayers to you in this time of need. Know that you have a lot of friends that are thinking of you and that God is with you in these trying times. God bless.

First and foremost I'd like to extend my deepest sympathies to Christopher's family--especially his wife and their two little angels. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am so sorry for your loss.
I'll never forget Christopher Frost. Christopher, Jessica and I all left from the Milwaukee MEPS together for basic training. If I'd only known I was sitting next to a hero...
He was such a nice guy and so FUNNY! The memories I have of him are filled with laughs. On the flight to San Antonio we had the flight attendants and all of the people around us laughing along. We were plotting our demise and wondering what the hell we were getting ourselves into. It was hysterical. Then of course in basic training I got the two of us in very hot water. We were four weeks in and I hadn't seen him since the airport. We were on opposite sides of a hallway waiting for our keys to be returned to us. I immediately recognized him, gave a smile and mouthed "Hi." Well it just so happens the MEANEST drill sergeant in our squadron saw it and layed into the both of us. I felt so bad!!
We followed each other to Keesler AFB and went through training together there also. I remember him getting married and not long after that we were off our seperate ways. Last I had heard he and his wife had a baby, he was at Robins AFB and was trying to crosstrain because he didn't enjoy flying.
This afternoon I was on my couch talking on the phone. CNN was on but I wasn't really paying attention. I just happened to look up and recognized the smiling face in the photo they were showing...then I saw the total death count for the war when I realized why Frost's picture was on the TV. It hit me so hard. I don't know what to say or if anything I could say would make anyone feel any better but I thought I'd share my story. I'm still in shock and trying my hardest to hold back my tears while typing. Like I said, I will never forget Christopher Frost.

I’ve known Chris for just over a year and a half now, but in that time I had the privilege of getting to know him well. We met in August 2006 and instantly bonded. I knew that I had found a friend for life. In the months that followed, we kept in contact and were able to help each other through a few of life’s rough spots, even though several states apart. He was always there for me with an encouraging word or ironically uplifting sarcastic comment. I can never thank him enough for helping me through, as well as opening up his life to me. We shared some of the best of times and worst of times, but we always knew the other one was there for us.
In April 2007, I deployed. Six months later, I got to meet Chris as he stepped off his first convoy into Baghdad’s International Zone. He was my replacement. The next two weeks were a frenzy of turning the newspaper over and teaching him the ropes. I got to take him on his first mission and introduce him to everyone I knew – people that I can guarantee he left a lasting impression on. When it was time for me to leave I never once thought that it would be the last time I would see him, as I’m sure many others didn’t as well.
My sincere condolences go out to all of Chris’ friends and family, but especially to his parents and two beautiful children. I know how devoted he was to you all. Just hearing the excitement in his voice as he talked about his children was enough to bring a smile to anybody’s face. He will be missed by all that had the joy of knowing him, but I know it can’t be compared to the pain and loss you have experienced. My heart truly goes out to you during this time. You are in my thoughts.

My prayers go out to the Frost Family,
I had the opportunity to meet Chris this past December at an Iraqi Military Academy graduation ceremony. His dedication and ability to capture that event was simply amazing.
I am honored to have met and served with him during this current war effort.

I visited his member area on DeviantArt where he used to post his wonderful pictures from Iraq. I wasn't aware what happened and I left him a comment saying things like "Hello, keep up the great work, best wishes to you". Then I learned about his death from another member's site. Can't contain my sorrow and regret. I never got to know him but this little time I thought I was talking to a living and I'm sure a wonderful person made me cry with true tears.
All my love to him and his loved ones.

To all the family and friends of SSgt Christopher Frost. Christopher was a true professional serving his country proudly and doing what his country asked of him. Sometimes we engage in operations that involve risk to human life. On this mission Chris was telling the story of the re-birth of the Iraqi Air Force. It was an honor to serve along side SSgt Frost in Baghdad.

I had the pleasure and honor of serving with A1C Frost at the time. During his tour at Robins AFB. He was a part of the Elite Robins Honor Guard Team. He personally and Honorably performed military funeral honors for our fallen heroe's, Chris took pride in honoring those who came before us. He did his Job with passion and with a smile. To his family,,"Chris was a shining star" He brought joy to everyone he met and he personally made me proud every time he went out. I never worried about anything when Chris was leading the team. My thoughts and prayers are with you. God now has one of his most precious Angels.

I served with Chris in Baghdad and had the good fortune to travel with him at the end of last year to attend an Iraqi officer graduation ceremony. Proud parents and family as sons were commissioned second lieutenants - tears, dancing, singing, even shaving cream! Good people with hope - that's what Chris captured beautifully on film and what he helped bring about here in Iraq. The thoughts and prayers of my family and I go out to the Chris Frost family.

Thoughts and prayers are wonderful gestures but don't even come close to healing your hearts. Christopher will always be remembered for giving his life for his country and helping to keep all of us safe, and for that we thank him eternally. May your family find acceptance and peace knowing he died doing what he truly wanted to do. Our country is forever grateful.

Dear Bridget, Garry, John & Elizabeth,
We just wanted you to know how much we love Christopher and how much he was such a big part of our family. He and Tim became friends in 5th grade when we moved to Vernon from Oconomowoc and they stayed best buddies through high school. He became the 3rd Stern Son to us and we were blessed to have had so many memories of the boys together, from sleep-overs to playing on the same baseball team. We treasure the memories and all the pictures we have of the kids having fun and being together, and the days they worked together at Murf's in Waukesha. Thank you for sharing your Christopher with us, he is loved and will be missed always. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers, and if you need anything just give us a call.
Love To All of You,
