Christopher was born on September 14, 1953 to the late Elmer "Punk" Shortt and Frances Osborne Shortt. He was a former truck driver, assistant paper mill manager, and a U.S. Navy Vietnam era veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Duvall and Michael Shortt.
Christopher is survived by:

Dawn Marie Osborne of Aurora, CO
Sharon Millis of MA
Son, Charles Osborne and wife, Ann of Haines City, FL
Sister, Elma Lee Phillips and husband, George of Mohawk, TN
Brother, Kevin Mark Shortt and wife, Patsy of Richlands, VA
Nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends also survive.
The family of Christopher Shortt will honor his wishes and he will be cremated. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia, oversees arrangements, and those wishing to express sympathy online may do so at www.hurstscottfuneralhomes.com
