Christopher T. Smith, 45, of Johnston RI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home.

Chris was born to Christopher J. Smith and the late Elsa (Taylor) Smith. Chris graduated from Smithfield High School in 1997 and New England Tech in 2006. This then led him to a career for Boston based Schneider Electric, as a User Experience Lead Website Designer for 19 years. In 2020, he began a loving relationship with Gretchen (Seguin) Smith, in which he married in 2023.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, the ones he loved the most: Autumn and Faye Smith, of Johnston, RI, his sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Jason Corbeille of Cumberland, his step-mother, Margaret (O'Rourke) Smith, his niece and nephew: Elsa and Chase Corbeille and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that he would consider family.

Chris lived a life rich in creativity, imagination, and joy. Music was a constant companion, and whether he was strumming his guitar or blasting his favorite songs, his love for sound filled every room. He expressed himself through art, always drawing, sketching and sharing paint night creations with family, turning simple moments into memories. Chris had a playful spirit and a boundless sense of wonder, which shined through in his fascination with Bigfoot, his love of Christmas, and his ever-growing collection of action figures and Funko Pops. At home he enjoyed time with his fur buddies- Thor, Felix, Darla, and Hila – each one a piece of his heart. When he wasn't creating or collecting, he would be found gaming, laughing, and connecting with others in the digital world. Chris lived with kindness and his passions were a reflection of the joy he brought to everyone around him.

Chris' biggest goal in life was to make people laugh which he was able to accomplish very easily with his infectious smile, laugh and humorous personality, He surely will be missed by everyone he met.
