Christopher A. Spanks

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher A. Spanks Sr., age 65, of Gloucester, who left us on December 23, 2025. He was a devoted life partner to Bami Mello, sharing a beautiful journey of love, where he devoted 37 wonderful years.
Born in Gloucester, MA, Christopher was the cherished son of Robert and Anna (Lopes) Spanks. He was not just a father and grandfather; he was a beacon of joy in the lives of all who knew him. With his infectious laughter and playful spirit, he had a unique gift for lighting up any room. A passionate sports enthusiast, Christopher never missed a moment to sit with his fur babies and cheer for his beloved Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. Music also held a special place in his heart; he reveled in strumming his guitar and lost himself in the melodies of Aerosmith & Guns N Roses.
Above all, Christopher treasured his time with his grandchildren, creating endless laughter and unforgettable memories. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family will resonate in our hearts forever.
Christopher is survived by his loving children: his son Christopher Spanks Jr. and his wife Manuela, along with their two sons, Christopher III and Anthony; his daughter Candice Numerosi and her husband Santo, who share two sons, Brighton and Lennox; his daughter Crystal Coburn, and her son Raymond; his son Philip Albert wife Tess and daughter Jazmin Albert.
A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date, allowing us all to honor the remarkable man he was. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christopher's memory to Cape Ann Animal Aid.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester. His spirit will continue to inspire us, and his love will forever be in our hearts.
