Christopher Lamont Aldridge, Sr. was born on May 16, 1981, to Tammy Taylor and Robert Dabney, Chris accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend Aaron Taylor at Lone Star Baptist Church in Bastrop, Texas and later transferred his membership to Inspirational Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Bishop George Sampleton in Bastrop, Texas.

Chris attended Bastrop High School for three years (11th grade) and later continued his education and received his GED Certification of Estelle Unit in Huntsville, Texas.  Chris past employment was with O’Reilly’s Auto Parts as a store manager. He had continuous employment at two restaurants as a chef cook at Roadhouse and Lucy’s restaurants in Elgin, Texas. He was also employed at Griffins Industries and later became disable with chronic kidney failure.

Chris had a passion for nice cars, Pitt bull dogs, spiritual encouragement and fellowship, cooking, barbeque grilling, singing, muscle car restoration, fashion dressing, dedicated father and preparing Sunday meals for Mom and Family.

Chris was called home on March 28, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Dabney, brother, Kevin Dabney and grandparents, A. Q. and Annie Lee Aldridge and Willie and Nell Dabney and two beloved cousins, Aaron Charles Lemuel, Jr. and Shawn Williams.

Christopher leaves to cherish his memories his children, one son, Christopher Lamont Aldridge, Jr., three daughters, Kaneesa, Aunistie, Kamisha and Tiara Aldridge; his mother, Tammy Aldridge Taylor and stepfather, Jimmy L. Taylor, Jr.; three brothers, Jimmy Taylor, III (Katherine), Jordan and Jayden Dabney of Shertz, Texas; three nieces, Zayah, Zoriah and Ziyah Taylor and his very special friend and significant other, Heather Shipp of Bastrop; and host of Aunts and Uncles, and other relatives and friends.

A Home Going Celebration will be conducted at Providence District Association of Cedar Creek, Saturday, April 9th at 2:00 PM with the Reverend’s Charles Hunter and L. H. McShan presiding. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery of Bastrop.
