Christopher Shane Stackpole

Mars Hill- Christopher Shane Stackpole passed away on December 28, 2025. Chris was born in Presque Isle on October 22, 1971 the son of Joseph F. Stackpole and Denise Townsend Stackpole.
Christopher married Janine Kinney Stackpole in 1996 and in 2000 they had their only son, Shane Christopher Stackpole.
Christopher is survived by his mom, Denise Townsend Duncan and her husband Richard H. Duncan (Mr. D), his loving son Shane Christopher Stackpole and Shane's Mom, Janine Kinney Stackpole, as well as several very special Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and so many special friends.
Christopher was pre-deceased by his father, Joseph F. Stackpole, his grandparents, Floyd and Joyce (Horne) Stackpole and Ronald E. and Eloise (Benson) Townsend, and special Yorkie Snickers.
Chris worked for County Super Spuds in Mars Hill for 10 years before starting his career at Whited Ford Truck in Presque Isle for 16 years as a mechanic and parts and sales. He enjoyed working the counter, making many lasting friendships, always known for having a big smile on his face. His customers were always bringing in delicious baked goods including his mom.
Chris was also a great cook, one of his favorites was making homemade egg mcmuffins on Christmas morning for everyone. He also loved and enjoyed everyone's cooking. He always looked forward to our family get-togethers as he knew all his favorites would be made!
Christopher loved everybody and as Shane quoted, "His Dad could never say 'No' to anyone," especially when they needed his help. Chris was a very humble man, he always put his needs last, helping others came first!
Christopher loved to play golf, hunt, fish and ride around in the woods.
Chris had some health issues over the past few years, leading to depression. He continued to do some construction work when he was able. He was such a caring, hardworking man and could do just about anything!
The family expresses a big Thank-you to the first responders, Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, and Dr. Roger Pelli for taking such good care of Chris.
