Christopher Scott Stewart, 41, of Center Point passed from this life on December 28, 2022 at a hospital in San Antonio.
He was born in Austin, TX on March 29, 1981 to parents Robert Scott Stewart and Valerie Anne McAlpin.
He grew up in Elgin, TX and graduated from Elgin High School. Chris met his soulmate, his everything in 2004 and married Kelly Schenk on July 1, 2007 in Erick, OK. Chris and Kelly lived in Erick, OK where Chris was a prison guard for 4 years. They moved back to Texas so they could be closer to Chris’s son, Christopher Jr. Upon moving Chris started a career in the energy field, he worked for Luminet in Rockdale until they closed in 2016. The family relocated to Bryan, TX and started with BTU where they built many friendships and Chris reconnected with family. In 2022, they decided to move to the Texas Hill Country to be closer to family. Chris, began a career at KPUB in Kerrville where he felt right at home.
Chris’s health began to decline rapidly from an interstital lung disease but he kept pushing through it, he was a fighter. Chris was stubborn, hard headed, fun, loving, intelligent person full of (as he would say) useless information, he had such a witty sense of humor. His love was unmeasurable we will miss him immensely.
Chris is preceded in death by his mawmaw, Sylvia Stewart; pawpaw, William Stewart; grandparents, John and Judith McAlpin; his father, Robert Scott Stewart and aunt, Susan Reed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 16 years Kelly Stewart; children, Blake Hartman and wife Shelby, Alex Hartman, Caleb Schenk and Christopher Stewart Jr.; grandchildren Raven, Bailey, Walter, Justin and one on the way; his mother, Valerie Dickeson; mother in law, Karen Anderson; sisters, Jamie Aguirre and husband Jose; Judith Andrade and husband Johnny; brother, Shaun Dickeson; sister in law, Kristia Schenk and Kimberly McGowan and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his fur babies that he adored Blue, Garfield and Jazmine.
