Christopher Ute Obituary
Christopher was born on June 16, 1967, in Mount Gilead, Ohio, to the late Charles and Linda (Stout) Ute.
Christopher was a graduate of Galion High School, class of 1985. Christopher joined the United States Army in 1986 and proudly served our country. Christopher served his country with honor and distinction.
His commitment to service extended beyond his military career, he was actively involved with the AMVETS in Galion; he previously served as a commander. Christopher's love for sports, especially his admiration for racing legend Jeff Gordon, was a significant part of his life, allowing him to connect with many. Christopher was also a devoted father and grandfather, finding immense joy in spoiling his children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish Christopher's memory are his children; Christopher (Kaley) Ute Jr, Brandon (Kathryn) Ute, Brandy (Niall) Burns; the mother of his children, Candy Montanye, grandchildren; Addison, Emiley, Camilla, and one grandson on the way, brother; Tim (Penny) Ute, sister; Heidi (Rob) Hughes, and numerous nieces, nephews, step children and step grandchildren who he loved as his own.
Friends may call on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Gompf Funeral Service - Galion Chapel, 303 Portland Way N., Galion, OH 44833, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Caledonia Cemetery where full military honors will be rendered.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
