Christopher Britt Warren, 59, of
Medfield, Massachusetts, passed away on December 19, 2024, after many preceding years of health concerns. His loss is deeply felt by those who loved him dearly.
Chris was born on July 26, 1965, in Cobb County, Georgia, to Charles T. "Tommy" Warren and Margaret (Ward) Warren of Durham, NC. Tommy's work led the family to Medfield, where Christopher became a well-known member of the local community. He is remembered for his incredible kindness to others, his mischievous nature, his intelligence, and his infectious humor. Chris had a childlike spirit and was often found falling out of trees while retrieving kites, lighting fireworks for neighborhood kids, and taking things apart out of curiosity.
Chris spent decades working on the homes of people in the community, especially through his painting, which he always performed with exacting standards and dedication. Outside of work, Christopher enjoyed swimming, building model cars and airplanes, listening to Pink Floyd and ELO, playing with kites and boomerangs, visiting amusement parks, spending time with friends and family, and learning about science and history. He attended Medfield High School and, after graduating from MassBay with a degree in Automotive Technology, worked for many years as a mechanic before transitioning into landscaping, construction, and house painting for the remainder of his career.
Anyone you ask will tell you that he cherished his daughter, Jasmine Humphrey, above most things in life. He is also survived by his long-term partner, Mia Humphrey, of Medway; his sister, Kimberly Warren, of Montrose, Colorado; his brother, Chuck Warren, of Ashland; his former sister-in-law, Diane Sukey Warren, of Derry, New Hampshire; and his niece and nephew, Rachael and Andrew Warren, also of Derry, New Hampshire.
There are innumerable friends and community members who mourn his loss. His influence extends across state lines and will continue to transcend his passing. Many of these people were as dear as family to him for more than 30 years. He is fondly remembered and deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, (Stephanie) Robin Warren, as well as his parents, Tommy and Margaret, who departed not long before him.
Christopher was full of light, quick to love and to emotion, and possessed a uniquely sharp wit. He had a strong sense of justice and extended kindness to both loved ones and strangers. He made Christmas magical and knew far too many movies by heart. Chris was an inspiration in how to share love with others and explore curiosity in even life's most mundane things. His loyalty was unmatched, and his protective nature was a safe harbor during difficult times. He was mischievous and funny, quick with a joke and a smile, and always ready to tease. There are numerous stories of his exploits-he gained a legacy as a man with nine lives, always finding a way to make it out of incredulous situations and bounce back.
Christopher was beloved by all who knew him closely, and the warmth he takes with him will be deeply missed.
