Christopher Wos Obituary

Wos, Christopher P. ALPHARETTA, Ga. Christopher P. Wos, 28, of Alpharetta, Ga., formerly of East Greenbush, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 11, 2020. Christopher (Topher, to all who loved him) was born in Albany, and was the beloved son of Paul and Martha Wos. Christopher attended Marist College where he graduated with honors with a dual degree in business and finance in 2014. He had a career as an inside sales representative for Veeam, Cloud Data Management. He enjoyed fitness and weight lifted competitively. Things he loved above all else were going to live music shows, Pop-Tarts, and cats. Christopher's friends were so important they became part of "his family." He touched and changed many lives by his kindness, great sense of humor, quick wit, great listening skills, and gentle nature. Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Paul. He is survived by his mother, Martha; his sister, Elizabeth (John) Russell; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be private. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Those wishing to remember Christopher in a special way may make a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Topher, I miss you so much. There is no way I would have gotten through my family tragedy without your witty banter and constant encouragement. And now with losing you, I don't have you to walk with me through this fresh loss.

I cannot believe you have been gone for six months and find myself wanting to call you often, bringing renewed grief that you are gone.

I got a kitten to comfort me in the grieving process but my friends wouldn't let me name her Topher... since she is a girl and all. So I named her Jasmine and call her Jaz. She totally has your personality, though. It's uncanny.

Dearest Martha, Our hearts are heavy in learning about Christopher. It has been 23 years since we have seen Christopher and remember him as a precious little boy with big brown eyes. Praying for you and your family. We will always hold our times as neighbors on Capital Place as one of the best times in our lives. With much love, Kathy and Charley Solomon

Dear Martha, So sorry to hear about your and Elisabeth's terrible loss. I wished I could have met Christopher as I read such wonderful things about him and the outpouring of love for him via Gofundme. Chez was very proud of his son (as I am sure you were as well) and actually Chez sent me many photos of the two of them on ski vacations and I saved all the photos. I feel like I know him some through the all the fotos. Oh man I really do not know what to say anymore to be helpful. I just pray and send you strength that you and Elisabeth lean on each other with a very strong bond to support each other for a long long time. A big hug from Bobby O from Berlin, Germany

Martha and Elizabeth,

Your son was a fun loving person from my limited experiences. We bonded over weight lifting and shared personal struggles in a couple of shared classes at Marist. I remember him for having extremely high character, and looking to help me even over himself. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Mrs. Wos and Liz,

Topher was really one of a kind and I have so much to thank him for. He was the first friend I made at college and I couldn't have been luckier. He looked out for me every step of the way at Marist and during our time abroad. He introduced me to my fiancée and for that I'm forever grateful. He was a brother to me from the moment I met him and a really special person. You should be extremely proud of what he did his four years of college. I have never seen a person be so strong and I was unbelievably proud of how he handled himself in every situation. Sending my thoughts and prayers to both of you. Thinking of you and your whole family.
