Christopher Mark Wright

Christopher Mark Wright, Age 72, of Flint passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 at his home. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI 48529 with Father Georges Bidzogo presiding, there will be visitation from 10:00 am until time of mass. Interment will take place at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 1:00-8:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Michigan 48473, there will be Knights of Columbus service followed by recitation of the Rosary at 7:00pm.

Born November 18, 1953 in Minneapolis, MN, Chris was the son of Donald Lee and Margarette Ann (McCabe) Wright. On May 6, 1989 he married Janis Kristine Foss in Flint. He was retired from GM Truck and Bus where he worked as a forklift operator. Chris was a proud member of the UAW, a Squire of Jack Daniels, as well as a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church where he was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved riding motorcycles, camping and traveling. He loved his dogs and had raised 5 German Shepherds that were dear to his heart. Most of all he loved time spent with family and friends.

Chris is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janis K. Wright; three sons, Chris Wright and his wife Becky, Walt Wright and his wife Heather and Daniel Wright and his wife Allyson; three daughters, Kristine Dailey, Kimberly Dailey, and Kelly Scribner and her wife Julie; two sisters Dawn Vitous and husband Gary and Theresa Dieck and husband Rick, one brother Donnie Lee Wright II; 18 grandchildren, Aaron, Samantha, Kyle, Kalven, Zachary, Brooke, Benjamin, Olivia, Amelia, William, Lane, Emily, Frederick, Karrissa, Andrew, Russell, Charles and Joseph; 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Robert Wright.
