Warren - Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Chryssanthi Partis, 92, of Warren, entered eternal sleep in the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ while surrounded by her children on July 12, 2025.

Chryssanthi was born in 1932 to Yiannis and Erasmia Karataga in the town of Ayia Anna on the island of Evia in Greece. One of six children, her childhood was shaped by the years of the Great Depression, the Nazi occupation of Greece in World War II, and the Greek civil war which followed.

Chryssanthi was blessed to grow up in a warm and loving family, which shaped how she raised her own family years later. Following WWII, her family moved to the beautiful city of Thessaloniki in northern Greece which she adopted as her hometown. It was there where she met the love of her life, Harry, who was serving as an MP in the Greek Army and who she married in 1954.

Following the birth of their first son, Chris, Harry and Chryssanthi made the momentous decision to leave their homeland and families behind and journey to the United States in 1956 to seek a better life for their growing family. Daughters Ellen and Era and son John subsequently joined the family as they settled in Warren, Ohio.

Chryssanthi was a wonderful wife and mother who devoted her life to her family. Following a very serious injury to Harry in 1964 which left him confined to a wheelchair or the remainder of his life, Chryssanthi provided her husband with 24/7 care as well as nurturing her growing children and supporting their educational and life journeys.

Chryssanthi was loved and probably best-known by her Greek title, Kyria Parti, as she served as teacher of the Greek School at Saint Demetrios Church for nearly forty years. She loved the hundreds of young Greek-American children she taught and they loved her in return, and that love continued to surround her for the rest of her long life.

Chryssanthi leaves behind to treasure her blessed memory her children and their spouses Chris (Shelly), Ellen (David) Frink, Era (Tim) Griffin, and John (Ann Marie).

Chryssanthi adored and doted on her grandchildren Marisa (Shawn) Ghahremanpour, Arianne (Jack) Gordon, Elise (Lou) Gideon, Nathan Griffin, Frank Partis, and Chrissy Partis. She was also blessed to welcome a growing crop of great-grandchildren: Chloe and Miles Ghahremanpour, Harry and Wally Gordon, and Mia Gideon, and was able to achieve her stated goal of living long enough to experience her great-grandchildren developing their individual personalities.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude and thanks to her cardiologist Dr. Shyam Bhakta and to the dedicated and caring staffs at Shepherd of the Valley- Howland as well as at Traditions Hospice who worked together to make Chryssanthi's final months comfortable and peaceful.

Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Thursday evening, July 17, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Friday morning, July 18, 2025 from 10:00 am until 10:50 am all at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High Street, Warren, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place at Mt. Peace Cemetery, Akron.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd., NE, Warren.

In lieu of flowers, Chryssanthi has requested that contributions be made to Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High Street, Warren, OH 44481.
