Chuck was born on Sunday, February 12, 1950, in Ponca City, OK, to Charles Jackson Sr. and Geraldine (Jordan) Edens. At 17, he joined the US Marine Corps and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He came home to Ponca City and went to work as a lineman for the City of Ponca City Light dept. and retired from there after 42 years. He met Patricia "Patty" Stone (Thompson) in 1981 and they spent the next 45 years together. Chuck was a man of integrity and had a strong moral code. If you were on time you were late! He loved working on and restoring American muscle cars for many years and later enjoyed restoring old tractors. Chuck was a family man and had a soft spot for all the kids in the family! He always made sure anyone who came to his house felt welcome and was well fed. He always made a special effort to entertain & spoil the kids with sweet treats making it his mission they were happy.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Patty Edens; 4 children: Jesse Thomas Edens Sr, Jacqualyn Shasta Akers, Sarah Noelle Spears and Timothy Christian Stone, 9 grandchildren: Madison Edens Hauss, Jesse Edens Jr., Cameron Akers, Kierstin Akers, Cayden Lewis, Ethan Meaut, Jade Spears, Shyloh Ewy and Sebastian Stone; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Ron Edens Sr. and Tim Edens and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother Matt Edens and both parents. Chuck was known and respected by many and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
