Cindy Lea Pekar, 64, passed away on Tuesday March 14th, 2023. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Daughter. Cindy was born October 26, 1958, in Vallejo, CA. She is survived by her Daughters Sharon Pekar of
Winston Salem, NC, Frances Setterlund of Greensboro, NC, her Son Steven Pekar of Matthews, NC, her Mother Joye Shores, Salt Lake City, UT, Brothers Steve Shores, Salt Lake City, Doug Shores, Ridgefield, WA, Sister–in–law Vicki Shores, Ridgefield, WA. Her Grandchildren, Jasmine, Novalee, Jupiter, Anastasia, Bella, Lulu, Riley, Brody, Jamie, and Craig. As well as several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Daughter Nicole Lynn Pekar, Father Richard Lee Shores, as well as Maternal and Paternal Grandparents
Growing up in a military family, Cindy was able to travel and see much of Europe at a young age. Her parents later settled just outside of Las Vegas, NV where she attended and graduated high school. At the time of her passing, she was living in Greensboro, NC.
Cindy was strong-willed, kind, and selfless. She was also an enormously creative person whether it be arts and crafts or baking. She loved spending as much time with her grandchildren and children as possible. Her passing was unexpected and too soon. She will be missed greatly.
Visitation will be held 3:00-5:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Salem Main Street. Prior to the visitation there will be a short prayer service with the immediate family.
