Pepper, Cindy Ann 1/14/1957 - 6/8/2021 Willis, Michigan Cindy Ann Pepper, age 64, of Willis, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loved ones after a recent battle with cancer. Cindy was born on January 14, 1957, to parents Richard and Patricia (Baker) Lewis and raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan with her siblings, Steve, Doris, Laura, Cathy, and Rick. She graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1975 and remained living in the area. In 1983, Cindy began dating Mike Pepper who lived down the street from her almost her whole childhood. In October of 1987 the two got married in the Village of Clinton, Michigan and began raising their children, Patrick, Mandy, and Melissa. In her spare time, Cindy enjoyed dabbling in various handwork crafts. Her most favorite was creating amazing beadwork. She was masterful at making unique jewelry- anything from intricate beaded necklaces to earring. She enjoyed giving special pieces away to those she loved and cared for. When she and her husband would take trips across the United States, she'd often find a bead store and spend time browsing their selections in hopes of finding something special to take home with her to remember the trip. Cindy loved any excuse to bake cakes for the people in her life- from birthdays or retirement parties to weddings and showers. She enjoyed spending time creating the perfect cake the event and the people she was baking for. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Patricia Lewis; her brother, Steve Lewis; and by her son, Patrick Lewis. Cindy will be deeply missed by her husband of 33 wonderful years, Mike Pepper; her daughter, Melissa (Tyrus) Inman; her stepdaughter, Mandy (Justin) Pepper; and her grandchildren, Kayli (Nick), Ashley (Eric), Taylor, Ryleigh, Kayden, and Colton. She will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Doris (John) VanderMeulen, Laura (Randy) Cross, Cathy (Bill) Amato, and Rick (Jacks) Lewis as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private memorial service will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Cindy's name to the American Cancer Society.
