Cindy Ann Zapata

Our beloved Cindy Zapata gained her well deserved wings Friday, December 8, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Austin, Texas on December 21, 1959, to Flora and Ray Martinez. She left behind the love of her life and BEST friend of 42 years Robert Zapata Sr. She brought into this world four children, Yvette Lopez (Joe Lopez Jr. Spouse), Robert Zapata Jr., Crystal Pena (Javier Pena spouse), Mathew Zapata, seven Grandbabies, and multiple Fur-Grandbabies that all loved her dearly. She was an aunt, sister, sister-in-law, Godmother, friend, comadre and most importantly unabashedly Cindy.    Cindy wore her heart on her sleeve and was always willing to help others. If she was in your life you were lucky. Cindy enjoyed family gatherings and loved celebrations, especially her birthday.  She was the life of the party, the first one on the dance floor and always laughing. She was always there for everyone. All who had the pleasure of meeting her lost an amazing soul and will miss her dearly.   She is survived by her Husband, Roberto Zapata; Her Children, Yvette Lopez, Roberto Zapata Jr., Crystal Pena, and Matthew Zapata; as well as 7 grandchildren and 7 grand-fur-babies
