With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Ciro Guerra, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the age of 68.
Ciro was born in San Francisco, Nieves, Mexico, to Cástulo Guerra and Raquel Guerra. From the start, he carried the values that shaped his life, family, hard work, and a strength others could lean on.
Ciro was more than a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend-he was truly the rock of the family. He was the steady voice people turned to for advice, the calm in difficult moments, and the one who helped others find their way when life felt heavy. His presence brought comfort, and his love held people together.
He was known for an unmatched work ethic. Ciro believed in showing up, doing what was right, and taking care of his family without hesitation. He was a hard worker who never missed a day of work, and he earned respect everywhere he went-not just for what he did, but for the kind of man he was.
After being diagnosed with ALS, Ciro faced the fight with courage. Through that season, he found God in a deeper and more personal way, and his faith became a source of peace and strength-both for him and for everyone who walked beside him.
Ciro was united in marriage to Primitive Guerra, and together they built a life rooted in love, sacrifice, and family.
Ciro is survived by his five sons: Manuel Guerra (wife Andrea Guerra), Ricky Guerra (wife Maria Guerra), Even Guerra (wife Kim Guerra), Antonio Pinney (wife Chelsea Pinney), and Jorje Guerra (wife Evelyn Guerra). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, five brothers, and one sister, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.
Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing his suffering has ended and that he is now at peace. Ciro will be missed more than words can say, but his legacy will live on through the family he loved, the wisdom he shared, and the strength he gave to everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Rosary will be 7:00 pm, both on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary, 10515 West Maple, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Funeral Mass will be 9:00 am, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 North 119 th Street West, Wichita, Kansas 67235. Burial will follow mass at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 North Maize Road, Wichita, Kansas 67212.

Con el corazón lleno de dolor, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Ciro Guerra, quien entró en el descanso eterno el martes 3 de marzo de 2026, a la edad de 68 años.
Ciro nació en San Francisco, Nieves, México, hijo de Cástulo Guerra y Raquel Guerra. Desde el principio llevó consigo los valores que marcaron su vida: la familia, el trabajo arduo y una fortaleza en la que otros podían apoyarse.
Ciro fue más que un esposo, padre, abuelo, hermano y amigo-fue verdaderamente el pilar de la familia. Era la voz firme a la que las personas acudían en busca de consejo, la calma en los momentos difíciles y quien ayudaba a otros a encontrar su camino cuando la vida se sentía pesada. Su presencia brindaba consuelo, y su amor mantenía a la familia unida.
Era conocido por tener una ética de trabajo inigualable. Ciro creía en presentarse, hacer lo correcto y cuidar de su familia sin dudar. Fue un trabajador incansable que nunca faltó a un día de trabajo, y se ganó el respeto dondequiera que iba-no solo por lo que hacía, sino por el tipo de hombre que era.
Después de ser diagnosticado con ELA (Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica), Ciro enfrentó la lucha con valentía. Durante ese tiempo, encontró a Dios de una manera más profunda y personal, y su fe se convirtió en una fuente de paz y fortaleza-tanto para él como para todos los que caminaron a su lado.
Ciro se unió en matrimonio con Primitive Guerra, y juntos construyeron una vida basada en el amor, el sacrificio y la familia.
A Ciro le sobreviven sus cinco hijos: Manuel Guerra (esposa Andrea Guerra), Ricky Guerra (esposa Maria Guerra), Even Guerra (esposa Kim Guerra), Antonio Pinney (esposa Chelsea Pinney) y Jorje Guerra (esposa Evelyn Guerra). También le sobreviven once nietos, cinco hermanos y una hermana, además de muchos familiares y amigos que lo amaron profundamente.
Aunque nuestros corazones están llenos de tristeza, encontramos consuelo al saber que su sufrimiento ha terminado y que ahora descansa en paz. Ciro será extrañado más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar, pero su legado vivirá a través de la familia que amó, la sabiduría que compartió y la fortaleza que dio a todos los que tuvieron la bendición de conocerlo.
