Claire P. "Tippy" DePaul

Claire P. DePaul, fondly known as "Tippy", age 84 passed away October 5, 2025 at the Hospice House of the Valley by Compasses, peacefully with her family by her side.

Claire was born February 9, 1941 in Butler, PA. a daughter of the late George & Edith Ervin.

Claire "Tippy" was a truly special person, she had a strong Christian faith and was a true prayer warrior for everyone. She dedicated her life to being a servant to so many and selflessly gave to everyone in need. She was small yet mighty with a huge heart of gold. She thrived on being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend to everyone, including strangers, her compassion was her greatest gift.

Tippy was also very talented and artistic, always creating with her hands. She would make gifts and give them away. She loved the changing seasons and holidays and would decorate her home beautifully on the inside and outside, for each of them welcomed everyone to visit.

She leaves behind her son, Michael (Michele) DePaul, daughter Denise (David) Swantek, and youngest daughter Michele DePaul, her grandchildren Chelsea DePaul, Olivia Snyder, and Michael and Ashley Parker, and great-grandchildren Logan DePaul, and Preston, Westley, and Whalen Parker, and her grand dogs that she dearly loved.

She also leaves her sisters, Donna DePinto, Diane Breedlove, and many nieces and nephews.

Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph DePaul, brother William Ervin, and sisters Patricia Majors and June Vigliotti.

Her last wishes were to be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery alongside her loved ones.

Special thanks to the nurses, aids, family members and friends including Kim, Lori, Noel, Dori, Ron & Debbie, Marcy and so many others who contributed to the care, support and encouragement of Tippy and her family in her last days.

There will be services held at 12 Noon on Thursday October 9, 2025 with calling hours prior to the service from 11 AM to 12 Noon at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
