Claire L. Gagne

Claire L. Gagne, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026. Born on August 20, 1945, she was the beloved daughter of Armand and Thelma (Bagley) Lamontagne. Claire married her devoted husband, Joseph Gagne, on June 27, 1964. They shared 50 wonderful years of marriage and enjoyed traveling around the country as well as time spent on their boat, the Ke Koa, cruising the Saco River until his passing in 2014.

Claire was predeceased by her parents, her husband Joseph, and her brother Richard Lamontagne. She is lovingly remembered by her children: son Craig Gagne and his wife Amy, daughter Karen Mathieu, and son Michael Gagne and his wife Jaclyn. She is also survived by her brother Robert Lamontagne and his wife Diane, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Outside of Mass for Claire will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Steet, Biddeford, ME 04005. Committal will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery for both Claire and Joseph.
