Springfield - Claire J. Slagle, 84, of Springfield passed away peacefully at her residence Saturday, November 22, 2025. A private graveside service will be held. Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements.

My grandmother was a Slagle. And we have a Slagle cemetery nearby. Claire was always so very nice to talk with. I'm shocked at her passing. Claire will definitely be greatly missed!! Condolences and prayers for Tim, Julie, and the family. Please keep in touch!

My deepest sympathy to Claire´s family. I remember her from Winchester many years ago. I enjoyed seeing Claire in her later years in Springfield.

I was so sad to hear that Claire died. We had so many great memories of the good old days. Her love for Katie always warmed my heart. My prayers are with you, Tim and Julie.

I remember going to Claire's house when I was little (my grandmother was Letha Slagle Kaehlert) and playing with Julie and Tim but Claire was so nice. She attended my mother's visitation (Dolores Cannon) a couple of years ago. Memories to hang onto. My prayers and condolences are with Tim, Julie and families.
