Clara Ferderer

MANDAN - Clara Ferderer, 96, Mandan, passed away December 27, 2023, at a local care center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00–7:00 PM with a Vigil/Rosary service at 7:00 PM Friday, December 29, 2023, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Clara was born October 5, 1927 at Center, ND, to George and Barbara (Scheetz) Hoffman. She was raised and educated in Oliver County, where she completed 8th Grade. In 1973, she completed her GED.

Clara married William T. Ferderer, October 22, 1945, at St. Martin's in Center. They farmed the family farm for many years and moved to Mandan in 1987. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, gardening, and volunteering. She was a great cook and well known for her German potato salad.

She is survived by two daughters: Theodora (Robert) Blotske, Bismarck and Joyce (Duane) Hofmann, Medina; two sons: Michael J. Ferderer and Kenneth R. (Gwen) Ferderer, all of Mandan; three sisters: Josephine Mosbrucker, Irene Miller, and Lorraine Hoffman; 13 grandchildren: Lisa Andres, Robert, Neil, Trevor, Bridget (Davidson), Wayne, Chet Blotske, Adam, Justin, Angela, Kimberly (Schmidt) Hofmann, Michael Ferderer Jr. and Jennifer Ferderer; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Margaret Ferderer; husband; sons: Dale W. Ferderer and William G. Ferderer; sisters: Clementine Hoff and Eleanor Cook; granddaughter, Nina Jo Ferderer; two great-granddaughters: Saige Blotske and Anna Grace Hofmann
