Clara A. Jones Frost

Ms. Clara A. Frost passed away at her home near Medina, TN on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the age of 82.

Ms. Frost worked at the Milan Army Ammunition Plant and then at Porter Cable in Jackson, TN where she retired after 23 years of service.  She enjoyed dancing at the Old Country Store as her husband Lester played the guitar. She was “Sunshine” of the Hee-Haw Honeys, a member of the Plectorial Society, “mean as a mink and sweet as soda pop”, loved by all that knew her.

Clara was born near Savannah, TN to the late Tom Jones and Ada Austin Jones. She lived most of her life near Medina.  She married the love of her life, Lester Frost on May 19, 1956, and spent 62 years together before his passing in 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Frost; sister, Annie Mae Banks.

Clara is survived by her daughters, Anita Ann Boyd and husband Charles, Sherry Griffin and husband Scott; grandchildren, Samantha Rogers, Brian Boyd, Nathan Boyd, Michael Sanders, Jr.; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in the Replogle-Lawrence Chapel with Bro. Steve Osborne officiating.  Burial will follow in Gibson County Memory Gardens.  Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 5 P.M. till 8 P.M. at the funeral home and again on Wednesday from 10 A.M. till service time.

Pallbearers are: Hunter Boyd, Michael Sanders, Jr., James Barber, Adam Carroll, Michael John Miller, Ralph Morgan.
