Clara Mae Robinson, age 70, of Athens, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2026. Clara Mae was born on March 17, 1955, to the late J.L. and Kattie Lankford.
Clara was of the Baptist faith, and her relationship with the Lord was the foundation of her life. She loved worshipping and singing gospel music, finding great joy and peace in praising Him. Clara enjoyed cooking, keeping a tidy home, and especially tending to her flower gardens. She had a true gift for growing beautiful flowers. Though she endured much loss throughout her life, she remained loving and steadfast, always finding comfort and strength in her faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Chuckie Lee Robinson; her son, Chuckie Lee Robinson Jr.; her daughter, Tammy Robinson; her grandson, Dusty Robinson; and brothers, JC Lankford, Clarence Lankford, and Ralph Lankford.
Those left to cherish her memory include her grandson, Malcolm Robinson; four great-grandsons; her siblings, whom she was exceptionally close to, Louise Willis, Freddie Lankford, and Ernest Lankford; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of NHC of Athens and Hospice of Chattanooga for the loving care and compassion shown to Clara.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Companion Funeral Home of Athens to assist the family with funeral expenses.
The family will receive friends at the chapel of Companion Funeral Home of Athens on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. officiated by Donnie Young. Burial will take place at Hammonds Cemetery in Athens, Tennessee. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
