82, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025 at HopeHealth Hospice Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Rafael Suazo. Born in the Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Luis and Altagracia (Felix) Paez.
Besides her husband Rafael, she is survived by her loving children, Carmen Suazo, Jose-Luis Suazo, Rafael Suazo (Stacey) and Antonio Suazo (Migdalia); cherished grandchildren, Kiara Taveras, Jonathan Suazo, Derrick Suazo, Dominick Suazo and Josiah Suazo; great-grandson Eric Berry, Jr; Sister-In-Law Gardenia Suazo, niece Theanys Suazo, plus countless Nieces and Nephews in New York, New England and the Dominican Republic. Clara was predeceased by her three sisters.
Clara lived a full and joyful life, enriched by her many passions. She loved sports, especially playing high school volleyball where she traveled and competed in the Caribbean Islands. She loved baseball and the Red Sox. She carried her love of music, dancing, and movies throughout her life. She never missed her favorite telenovelas, and delighted in spending time with family playing Bingo where she was exceptionally lucky, along with keeping her mind sharp doing puzzles and playing various types of sudoku. She also shared a deep connection with nature, tending to her garden and feeding the birds that visited. With her caring hands, she knitted baby blankets and clothes for all her children and grandchildren, leaving them with treasures of her love and warmth.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Michael’s Church, Providence. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence. VISITING HOURS will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.
