Ms. Clara Lucille Trawick, 84, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Clarksville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Trawick was born in Buffalo Junction, VA on February 12, 1941 to the late Pierce and Maude Day. At an early age, she was baptized and became a member of Wharton Memorial Baptist Church, where she faithfully served for many years. She was a cherished member of the Wharton Memorial Senior Choir. Ms. Trawick was a graduate of West End High School, Class of 1958. She went on to dedicate 25 years of service in the medical field at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital in New Jersey. She was a talented and skilled seamstress in her spare time and would often create beautiful garments for her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Trawick was preceded in death by her siblings, Hazel Boxley, Eula Downey, Melvin Day, Benjamin Day, Joseph Day, Dorothy Day, Charles Day, and Sarah Burton.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted son Eldred Day (La Donna) of Carson, CA; granddaughters, Eunique Day and Elyse Day; brother, Clifton Day of Buffalo Junction, VA; three sisters-in-law, Silvia Day, Bettye Day-Preston, and Lillian Day; brother-in-law, Clinton Burton, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Ms. Clara Lucille Trawick will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Wharton Memorial Baptist Church, Nelson, VA with Rev. Tereeké Hutcheson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
