Clara A. Ward

Clara A. Ward, 104, passed away January 7, 2026, at Fair Acres, Media, PA. Born in San Diego, CA, she was raised in Philadelphia. After she met the love of her life, John Ward, she moved to Brookhaven, where she lived most of her life. Her last few years were spent at the Residences of Glen Riddle and Fair Acres.
In Clara's younger years, she loved to go bowling and was in a league at Sproul Lanes. Her and her husband loved to go to dinner and out dancing. She also really enjoyed travelling with her friends. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. She was a loving and proud mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 33 years John Ward; sister Joy Donahue; brother Ted Huttinger; grandchildren John (Joy) Ward and Christine Ward; and great granddaughter Sarah Ward.
She is survived by her loving children Chip Ward (Gail) and Karen Ashley (Herb); grandchildren Michael Ward (Megan), Kristin McCullough, Kristen Ryan (Brandon), and Shannon Colletta (Jose); and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday (January 15, 2026) @ 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015 with a visitation starting at 10am.
