Clara Yoder Obituary
79, of Sugarcreek, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg following a period of declining health. She was born in Sugarcreek on Jan. 2, 1942 to the late Monroe B. and Malinda (Troyer) Miller. She was a member of Light in the Valley Chapel. She had worked for many years at Butler and Butler-Varns Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughter, Marla (Robert) Johnson of Harrisonburg, Va; her four sons, Steven (Janet) Yoder of Massillon, Lavern (Debra) Yoder of Sugarcreek, James (Amanda) Yoder of Berlin, and Joe (Sondra) Yoder of New Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren, Brad, Chad, Anthony, Emily, Caleb, Jae, Hana, and Alyvia Yoder, Nicole and Patrick Wilkins, and Sarah and Evan Jaberg; five great-grandchildren, Claire, Maverick, Lincoln, London, and Quinn Yoder; brother, Melvin (Janice) Miller and Freeman (Amanda) Miller both of Sugarcreek; sister-in-law, Shirley (Miller) Badger; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Edna and infants Niva and Lydia Ann, and two brothers, Henry Miller and Lloyd (Bena) Miller.
Services will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Light in the Valley Chapel with Pastors Ferman Yoder and Phil Stutzman officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday 4-7 p.m. at the Church. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
