Clare was one of the very best volunteers for the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra while I was the Executive Director. We could always count on her. I enjoyed our many chats, and am honored that I knew her. She was such a lovely human being---just lovely! My deepest sympathies to her family. RIP Clare, and thank you.

I sang with Clare in the Ithaca Community Chorus and with the Chamber Singers and I also hiked with her when she joined up with the Ithaca Hikers. Due to the pandemic, I no longer sang or hiked so I hadn´t seen Clare in recent years so didn´t know about her illness and was shocked to learn of her death. I thought I knew a bit about Clare but upon reading her obituary, I´m overwhelmed by the depth of her life, and the obituary doesn´t include all of it. I know that because I visited her home with several other friends just after she died and I was struck by how much she did with so many, many people. In addition to all those trips Clare took in her final year, she also still did her annual fundraising for Women Swimmin´ which was the last I heard from her. I fully expected to see her again and almost did, when I learned that she had attended a September rehearsal with our beloved Community Chorus, but which I was unable to attend. Clare was a treasure and she left us way too soon. I know that we all share that. Thank you, Clare, for all you have given us. You will be sorely missed and always remembered. I will think of you with a song In my heart.
