I met Clarence Bell through Shirley Brewer. I remember walking through an open field to get to his apartment. He was so friendly and kind. We had a wonderful time. RIP Clarence Madell Williams, Compton CA 90222

What an awesome man and by the way, agifted, anointed musical craftman,! He hated his gift so many! I was blessed to be in the choir with him in San Diego in the 70's.

I enjoyed the times that I played drums behind Clarence at The 5 Sisters Blues Café in Pensacola, Florida. Clarence, would 'nt say the name of the tune he was about to perform, he would just say the type of rhythm, like "swing" and the groove was on with no hesitation and no reservation. He was always in the pocket and his kind, loving soul always permeated his music. I will miss Clarence.

Clarence was born in Port Saint Joe, Florida. He was a prolific musician, having toured with the Stevie Wonder band among many other groups. I was fortunate enough to get to work with him on several occasions, he'll be sorely missed.

Clarence Bell helped me to find my way around big Hammond Organs when I was only 13 years of age when he was a student in St.Augustine Florida. Later in the Seventies, he showed me how to operate the Arp 2600. We grew up together. I love him so much. He is one of the greatest musicians and singers that I have ever known.

Clarence was my friend and fellow musician here in Pensacola for many years. He and other folks joined my wife Nita and me for dinner just prior to his departure to Missouri. He always spoke kindly of everyone and played his music directly from his heart. All of us in Pensacola will miss him.
