Clarence Byrd Obituary
Bossier City - Celebration of life services for Rev. C. Byrd, Jr., 90, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2021, at Peaceful Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Melvin Smith. A viewing will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Peaceful Rest MBC from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Reverend Byrd was born December 14, 1930, in Pine Bluff, AR to Rev. Clarence Byrd, Sr., and Mattie Jackson Byrd, and passed away Friday, February 19, 2021.
Reverend Byrd was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lillian Byrd, two sisters, Mary L. Byrd and Sadie V. Byrd Taylor Winkleman, and one daughter, Sherri Lynn Byrd Gee.
He is survived by his loving wife, Birdie Byrd; his two daughters, Lori Byrd Rougely (James) and Casey A. Byrd; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Attorney Mildred Byrd.
