Clarence Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Corley Funeral Home - Corsicana on Mar. 13, 2026.
Clarence Dean Davis, 77, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, after a courageous battle

with cancer. He was born on May 17, 1948, in Seminole to Ina Davis and Lemuel Davis.

Dean was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who was known for his

generosity and steady presence in the lives of those who loved him. He proudly served his

country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 as a helicopter gunner and completed one

tour in Vietnam. During his service, he earned numerous honors including the National Defense

Service Medal, Parachute Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army

Commendation Medal, One Overseas Service Bar, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the

Purple Heart.

Following his military service, Dean built a successful contracting company and enjoyed

spending his free time golfing with his friends at Prairie Lakes Golf Course.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jimmy Claunch; his mother, Ina Claunch; his sister,

Omalina Cox; and his son, Michial Green. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Davis; his

daughter, Michelle Foster and husband Doug Foster; grandchildren Kyle and Jake;

daughter-in-law Sarah Green; grandchildren Nicole, Jordyn, and Aiden; and many other family

members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Blake and Tracy O'Daniel, Elizabeth

Herrera, and the compassionate staff of New Century Hospice for the care and comfort they

provided during Dean's final days.

He will be remembered for his service, his kindness, and the love he gave to his family and

friends.
