I worked with Butch for years as his partner at Lake Forest Orthopedics. He was a mentor and friend. He was blessed with a superb intellect and graceful bed side manner. He brought me on with him on the Bears medical team. Working with Butch I learned so many pearls about sports medicine. He was generous and fun. RIP

I never met Dr. Fossier personally. He was an IME physician on several of our claims and always seemed fair in his assessments of our workers' conditions. I appreciate the straight forward and intuitive insights he had on the claims he was involved with. My condolences to his family, colleagues and others who came in contact with him. We were all better for having our lives touched by Clarence.

Best Regards,
Bryce

I am so sorry for your loss, I worked with Dr Fossier for last 15 or 16 years through MES Peer Review Services. I believe I may have sent him his first case and debated about sending it to him as he was the Team Doctor for the 85 Bears, and I am a die hard NE Patriots Fan and Season Ticket holder, you can only imagine my inner turmoil, but so glad that I did or I never would have had the pleasure of working with him. He was always kind, thoughtful and pleasant in our interactions. He will be missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
