Clarence Ray Lee Jr. was born on September 28, 1962, in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Texas. He passed away on August 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Clarence's journey through life was filled with hard work and dedication. He held various positions in respected institutions, including Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas, Green Bay Packing Inc. in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Lake Lodge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fort Worth, Texas, and Arbor Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation. His commitment to his work and those he served was a reflection of his caring nature, as he always believed in giving his all to support others.
Education was important to Clarence, and he embraced opportunities for growth, having gained valuable skills and experiences through Job Corp. He touched the lives of many not only through his professional endeavors but also through his passions. Clarence loved playing softball and found immense joy in listening to music, moments that brought him happiness and allowed him to connect with friends and family alike.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Jamila L. Stevenson, Dominique Stevenson, and Niesha L. Lee; his sons, Christopher J. Lee, Jamesha Lee, and Kevin D. Lee, who continue to treasure the lessons and love their father shared. His memory also lives on through his cherished grandchildren, Ta'Nizia D. Henry, Christopher Lee Jr., and Nylah N. Lee, as well as his siblings: sisters Darlene D. Trevillion (William "Bo" Trevillion III of Spring Branch, TX), Catalina Frank (Tampa, FL), and Friday Esquitin Lee, brothers Frank Esquitin (Houston, TX), and Groucho Ray Lee Phillips and Andria Phillips (Houston, TX). Additionally, Clarence is remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, including Nylah N. Lee, Cherish Lee, Elektra Lee, Niyia Phillips, Nevaeh Phillips, and Siemone Hughes (Albany, NY), as well as Groucho Jr. and Frank Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence R. and Clara R. Lee; two brothers, Walter Stevens Lee and Carl Lee; a sister, Michelle Lee; and a nephew, William H. Trevillion IV. Their presence in his life shaped who he became and will forever be honored in the stories and memories shared by those left behind.
Services to celebrate Clarence's life will be held at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas. An evening gathering will take place on September 12, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM, followed by a funeral service on September 13, 2025, at 11 AM. He will be laid to rest at Skyvue Memorial Gardens on the same day, with burial commencing at 12:15 PM.
As we come together to remember Clarence Ray Lee Jr., let us honor his spirit with laughter, music, and the warmth of community he cherished so deeply. His legacy will forever be a reminder of the love and joy that he spread throughout his life.
