Clarence Ray Myers, 87, of Caddo Mills, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025.

Born in Krum, Texas, in 1937, Clarence was a proud 1956 graduate of Lewisville High School, where he was a standout member of the record-setting 1955 football team and later honored in the LHS Hall of Fame. His love for his community and commitment to service were evident throughout his life.

Clarence dedicated 42 years of hard work to Frymire Engineering in the electrical, HVAC and plumbing industry. In addition to his professional career, he made a lasting impact on the City of Lewisville, serving as mayor from 1979 to 1981 and again in 2000. His leadership and devotion earned him the title of "Citizen of the Year" by both the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce (1980) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (1981).

Clarence was a man of great faith, and he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas, for several years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Velma Myers; his brother, Wendell Myers; and his sister, Frances Myers Ridinger.

Clarence is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Anne; their children, Scotty Myers and Cindy Burt; grandchildren, Chip Burt (Annette), Mallory Burt-Bocksell (Preston), and TJ Myers; great-grandchildren, Abrianna Milano, Ethan Burt (Ashley), and Chloe Burt; and one great-great-grandchild, Lorenzo Johnson. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, Angie Garcia, DeeDee Dial and Alinda Quinn, and their families.

Clarence's legacy is one of quiet strength, deep love for his family, and unwavering commitment to his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Gideon International in Clarence's memory.
