Clarence Eugene Postins, Jr. (1940-2024)

Gene Postins, age 84, of Franklin, KY died peacefully at home in Franklin, KY on Friday, August 2, 2024.

Gene was born in Chattanooga, TN to Clarence Eugene Postins, Sr. and Margaret Freeman Postins. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State College in 1966 where he met his wife of 60 years, Kay Gupton Postins. Together they worked, lived and raised a family in Franklin for over 50 years.

Gene is survived by his wife, Kay; his daughter Amy Postins Pierce (Adam Pierce) and son Jonathan Postins; in addition to his grandchildren, Reed Pierce (Delaney Baird Pierce) and Wilkes Pierce; and brother, George Postins.

Visitation will be at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 325 West Cedar Street, Franklin, KY 42134 on:
•Tuesday, August 6th from 5:00 PM CST to 8:00 PM CST and will continue
•Wednesday, August 7th from 1:00 PM CST to 2:45 PM CST
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 7th at 3:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Gene's memory to the Taylor Christian Camp c/o Franklin Church of Christ, P.O. Box 511, Franklin, KY 42135. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
