Clarice Lavern Marshall, known as Reecie to all who loved her, passed into the arms of Jesus on March 13, 2026, while a resident at Lexington Manor Senior Care in Lexington, MS.

Clarice was 101 years old and born on August 11, 1924. She had celebrated her 100th birthday with a multitude of friends and relatives at Gladys' Restaurant in Lexington in

2024. Clarice was a lifelong member of Harland Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Harland Creek Baptist Church in Coxburg, MS on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with visitation at 11:00 AM and service at 11:30. Interment will be in the family plot in Harland Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to fellowship afterwards at the church.

Clarice was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Orren Marshall and Minnie Lee Ables Marshall; brothers, Henry Bilbo Marshall, Herman Leslie Marshall, Wilburn Harris Marshall, Wenzell Ward Marshall; sisters, Irma Allean Marshall Spell, Sadie Bee Marshall Shanks, Ethel Rubena Marshall Carney. She is survived by a sister, Edna Johnene Marshall Lenoir.

She was a favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews and cared for them as her own.

She worked at various jobs in Holmes County, Washington, D.C., and Jackson, MS until she was needed as a caretaker for her mother and other family members. She was a Christian woman who loved her family and was known for her gentle, kind spirit.

Pallbearers are Neil Marshall, Stephen Zeigler, Greg Bigbee, Blake Thomas, Cody Thomas, and Tommy Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Clarice Marshall to Harland Creek Baptist Church, 7540 Ebenezer-Coxburg Rd., Lexington, MS 39095.
