Clarice Jeppsen Williams, daughter of Norman Nels Jeppsen and Josie Jensen Jeppsen was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She passed away at home early in the morning on Monday, May 19, 2025 after a short illness.
Clarice was born in Brigham City, Utah and raised in Mantua with 4 sisters and 1 brother. She was the second youngest. Clarice went to Box Elder High School and was President of the Girls league. She was voted by the faculty and student body as the Outstanding Girl of her graduating class.
Music and singing were always an integral part of Clarice's life. She was awarded a Music Scholarship to Weber State college (now University) where she met her beloved husband Bill Williams. They sang in a group called Dorian Singers. The Dorian Singers were sponsored and performed in multiple special events and musical productions.
Clarice married Bill in the Logan Temple on November 22, 1950. After being married a month Bill left on his mission to Hawaii for 2 years while Clarice stayed home and worked as a Service Rep for Mountain Bell. When Bill returned, they joyously reunited and moved to Salt Lake City. Clarice transferred with Mountain Bell and Bill went to the University of Utah. Upon graduating from the University of Utah, Bill enlisted in the Navy starting with Navy Officer Candidate School. Bills Navy assignments had them moving to Athens, Ga. and Long Beach, Ca.
While home on leave in Ogden, Bill and Clarice were packing their car to drive back to Long Beach when the adoption agency gave them 4 hours to pick up their baby daughter. Grandmas, Aunts and Friends scrambled to gather diapers, bottles, clothing, for their new baby!
Upon release from the Navy, Clarice and Bill and Linda returned to Ogden where they lived 19 glorious years.
In 1959, while they were in Ogden, they were given the blessing to adopt their sweet red haired son Jeffrey.
When Clarice and Bill moved from Ogden to SLC in 1977, she was asked to work at OC Tanners retail store for Christmas. After Christmas, O C Tanners asked her to stay and she did for 17 years, becoming one of their top salespeople because she had a real gift for working closely with customers to find the exact piece of jewelry they wanted. She also made lifelong friends from both customers and work friends.
As mentioned previously, Clarice loved music and singing and she had numerous callings in every church organization; sacrament meetings, primary and relief society, funerals and special events. In the 80s, Clarice had a solo performance in a primary program at the Salt Lake Tabernacle> She had to wear 1 shoe and 1 slipper because she broke her toe the night before!
Clarice was also an artist, creating beautiful needlepoint art for her home and others.
Bill and Clarice traveled extensively, from Bills time in the Navy and throughout business career. However, Clarice's favorite place was always her home!
Clarice is survived by her beloved husband Bill, daughter Linda, son Jeff, grandson Colby Hassard, granddaughter in law Alicia Hassard and two great grandchildren Jemie and Desmond.
She is also survived by 2 wonderful sisters, Gloria Dyches and Arnell Jeanselme Schneiter. Her brother Jay, Sisters Karma (Dixon), Ardis (Piers), and her parents predeceased her.
Clarice and Bill observed their 74th wedding anniversary last November celebrating a lifetime of love and perfect partnership.
