PORT LEYDEN - Claris J. Croneiser, 88, formerly of East Road, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the home of her daughter, Ramona Croneiser, in Yorkville.
Claris was born in Boonville on January 20, 1937, a daughter of Clinton and Alice Domser Edick. She grew up in the Turin area, beginning her education at a rural school, before attending General Martin High School, at Glenfield. On February 6, 1954, she was married to Raymond Croneiser at St. Martin's Church, Port Leyden. Afterwards, the couple settled on the Farview Croneiser Homestead Farm on East Road, near Port Leyden, where Claris was the quintessential farmer's wife; operating the dairy farm alongside Raymond and also caring for the needs of her household. In addition to farming, Claris was also employed at the McGee Snow Lodge, Turin, Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville and in Constableville, and later for several years she operated a licensed adult care service within her home. In 2017, Claris moved to her daughter's home in Boonville and since August had resided in Yorkville.
Claris will be fondly remembered as being the best loving, caring Mom there ever was; her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was never ending.
