I was really shocked to hear of Clark's passing. We were close childhood friends, along with his younger brother John, all of us living on 14th Street a few houses apart. Clark was living with his parents and I was living with my grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. Willie Vaughn). Clark and I remained close, distant friends, keeping in contact by phone and visiting whenever I had the opportunity, when I was in Winston-Salem. We last spoke by phone on Labor Day, when one of our high-school classmate and neighbor, who now livies in Seattle WA. happen to visit me at my home in Durham, NC. Clark was still the same jovial, joking person that I have known for years, talking about old and present times.
Finally, to Clark's family we know that you have and will grieve for his passing, but always remain thankful that he was yours.for we remain thankful that in many ways, to his friends, he was also ours too
Both my family and I extend our sincere condolences to his immediate family and other relatives.
Thank you and God bless.
