Had the pleasure of meeting and hearing Clark Terry three times (1970,1976,& 1981). One of the greatest trumpet players ever to grace the face of the earth. A great human being as well.

I met Mr Clark in the 80's in Oklahoma City and never forgot his brilliance and how he was so down to earth The world had a Huge lost.

A great man and Jazz musician whose influence is beyond measure. I am thankful for having met him as a young musician and for Clark Terry's and Louie Bellson's commitment to Youth Jazz education.

Clark Terry was without doubt a great educator and musician. He influenced my kids and university bands for three years in the early 70's in Flint,Mich. He became a grandfather to our young daughter (now deceased) and our family will cherish our times together.

Many are the talents of men, music is a gift from God. Those who master it bring the ability of the mind to its fullest. Happy are the hearts of those who really love music. May your fond thoughts of Clark bring back the most rewarding memories. My sincere condolence.
